EV charging is the critical enabler of mass EV adoption, a truly key part of the energy transition. And it's growing, with some exceptional firms and people in this space.

But it needs to grow at an exponential pace if it is to meet its goals. And we're at the point where we must convince the "early majority" that this technology can work for them - and that they will want to use it.

My Experience

After 14 years working in the EV and EV charging space, I have observed: 

  • Most wholly misconceive what a well utilised EV charging infrastructure looks like - there are too many missed opportunities and unwise investment decisions.

  • Too few effectively convey the massive advantages and opportunities of EVs.

  • There is too little joy in this sector - EVangelism warms the converted, but prickly defensiveness converts no one.
